- Funds for Writers: edited by Hope A. Clark, an extensive website and a very useful electronic newsletter
- The Kerouac Project of Orlando: A three month writing residency at the house where Jack Kerouac wrote On the Road. They are open to all all writers.
- StarMerrow Grant for Collaborative Science Fiction and Fantasy: A grant of $100 (more if funds become available). "StarMerrow is a nexus for writers, artists, and other creators of science fiction and fantasy. Its mission is to help these creators network with each other and market their works." Open to members everywhere, but oriented around Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Collaborations must involve at least two persons, one of which must be a member, and one of which must reside in N. California, Oregon or Washington state. Application deadline was Dec. 1, 2005 for the 2006 grant.
