Membership Info
For the low annual price of just USD$30, members of the Speculative Literature Foundation receive the following benefits:
- an attractive membership card
- free subscription to our monthly e-mail newsletter (optional)
- 20% discount on all our publications and merchandise
- fees waived on all our contests and grant applications
- the happy knowledge that you are directly contributing to the speculative fiction field's growth, improvement, and prosperity
Members who support the SLF for five years or more will also receive an attractive pin.
We are an approved tax-exempt foundation under IRS code IRS 501(c)3. All donations to our foundation (including membership fees) are tax-exempt. Our tax ID # is 20-0587225.

NOTE: In the case of financial hardship, membership is offered on a sliding scale. To apply for special consideration, send an e-mail outlining your case to membership@speculativeliterature.org. We will accommodate you if we possibly can.

Institutional Membership
The SLF welcomes institutional memberships from any organization interested in genre. Small or independent presses, fan groups, public workshops and other groups are welcome to join the SLF. Benefits of membership include discounts on all SLF publications, listing on our website (with a link to your own site, if applicable) and a monthly newsletter.
Small press institutions may also join the Small Press Co-Op and mailing list.
You do not currently need to be an institutional member in order to join the Co-Op ... but it would be nice!
